(By Skylar Bodeo-Lomicky) I’ve checked the Apple Maggot Fly traps two of the three days that have passed since setting them out. When I checked the traps on July 21, I found two of the four Ladd traps to have one or two apple maggot flies in them. One is on a standard size tree in row one, and the other is grafted on a 10-year-old dwarf rootstock in the nursery.”The two traps are not located in the same row, but they are both located somewhere between the north and easternmost parts of the orchard.

The raspberries are now ripening a week or two later than normal. Cammy picked a big bowlful. Berry-season is entering full swing. Summer is here, although with 50 degree nights, it feels more like September.
