We’re about a month into Summer. Shorts, bare feet, T-shirts. We’re eating almost entirely out of gardens. The berries and vegetables are piling up. With the exception of a few days earlier this month, we haven’t had the heat but that may come. I can remember summers when July was quite cool, but August more than made up for it, and we swam nearly every day. We can be thankful we’re not in France or Spain or Arizona where it was 109F today. We’ll take Maine.
For the past week Skylar’s dad, Wayne, has been visiting. It’s been a pleasure to have him here. He helped out wherever he could and never complained. He was here a year ago, and we hope it becomes an annual tradition. Thank you Wayne!
