This weekend 150 apple lovers attended the 5th Maine Apple Camp. We do it every other year. Apple geeks from across the US swarmed in on Friday night and left just after noon on Sunday. It was a wildly fun and educational extravaganza of workshops, lectures and panel presentations on all aspects of apples, including cultivation, breeding, cider, genetics and more. There was swimming, dinners in the camp dining hall, T-shirt printing, cider sharing and a thousand conversations. What a wonderful way to spend an August weekend in Maine.
