rockland syrup

This is a “sweet” apple perfect for fermented cider as it is low in both acidity and bitterness. It was discovered and named by Sean Turley in 2022. He wrote to me, “This apple is insane. It is growing in a field where the former regional airport used to be in Rockland. It has the highest brix I have ever found (coming in around 20 off the tree and going up to 23 with some sweating). It ferments wonderfully and has zero acidity (closer to a sweet than a bittersweet).”  On trial at SCF. Scionwood from Sean.
