 weeks mills

Weeks Mills is a seedling apple growing not far from us in Weeks Mills, ME, a small village of the town of China in Kennebec County. It was discovered, named and introduced to us by Portland fruit explorer, Sean Turley. It is a small-medium, roundish, multi-colored-mostly-red, bittersweet that ripens in September in central Maine. Although still in the early stages of testing, we think it has major potential as a bittersweet cider apple. You can read more about the apple in the Wild Apple Exhibition Pomological Series,Vol. 4, p. 99. On trial at SCF though not yet bearing here. Scionwood from the original tree.
